Stunning Guilloche Enamel Hallmarked Silver Cigarette Case - Art Deco
A spectacular and beautifully crafted Art Deco silver cigarette case, complete with an engine turned design and a stunning blue and white enamel guilloche to the front. The blue colour surrounds the edge of the white design, and has an art deco skyscraper motif on each side in the middle.
The enamel is in lovely condition as shown, with just two tiny nicks and a very small area of grazing near to one of the skyscraper designs. A 3D-esque pattern leads to a circle in the centre. The case opens up to reveal the cigarette compartment with fabric holder and the hallmark can be seen. The maker is J. Gloster Ltd and dates 1935. The clasp works perfectly and the case stays shut.
A stunning example of art deco craftsmanship, This case measures approximately 8cm x 6.7cm and weighs approximately 113g.
